Here in the drum section we will try to allow you to experience a wide variety of drumming sounds.
We’ll take a look/listen to some of the most popular drumsets. We’ll listen to individual drums, combinations, and a variety of drumming hardware. We’ll listen to a variety of cymbals, and we’ll take a listen to all types of ways to get those drums and cymbals recorded in the studio and heard onstage at a concert.
We’ll take a listen to different mics, take a look at mic hardware for drums, and we’ll look at a variety of micing techniques commonly used in the studio and onstage. We’ll cover everything from minimalist micing all the way to multi-micing each drum in a variety of unusual techniques.
