The Oktava 012 is a great little condenser mic that comes with a 20db screw-on pad. They are great for drum overheads and a hat mic, as well as on acoustic piano. They are extremely sensitive to wind so if there is the slightest breeze even from an air-conditioning vent, then you’re better off to use a wind-screen.
